The Main Investigations Directorate of the Russia’s Investigative Committee continues investigating a criminal case opened in the city of Yekaterinburg against Yekaterinburg City Duma deputy Oleg Kinyov and other individuals. They are charged with killing a woman born in 1933 (article 105 of the RF Penal Code).
In July 2014, the suspects of killing the elderly woman were identified and apprehended. There were Yekaterinburg City Duma deputy Oleg Kinyov, 48, who was also the chairman of social protection and healthcare permanent commission of Yekaterinburg city Duma. Investigators believe that it was he who organized the murder of the elderly woman, who had been reported missing. In addition, two residents of Novouralsk - 27-year-old security expert of a commercial organization Andrey Gusev (alleged accomplice in the murder) and his age mate officially unemployed Alexey Khudonogov (alleged murderer) were also detained as suspects in this crime.
All three confessed to the murder. Moreover, in the course of investigative actions at the crime scene, the alleged "killer" Alexey Khudonogov revealed where they had buried the woman’s body. All three have been charged with the murder and remanded in custody pending trial.
The investigators have found that the ownership of the woman’s three-room flat was reissued on the name of Kinyov’s assistant Sergey Chuvakov. At present there is a criminal investigation ongoing against Kinyov and Chuvakov into crimes under part 4 of article 159 of the RF Penal Code (fraud on a large scale entailing deprivation of a citizen of ownership on dwelling). Chuvakov has been detained with the assistance of the Sverdlovsk Region Office of the Federal Security Service. A warrant has been issued to prosecute him as the accused and custodial restrain is expected.
The criminal cases in the murder of the elderly woman and fraud with her property have been joined to form a single criminal proceeding. The investigation is ongoing, a set of investigative operations are underway to find out all the circumstances of the crime.
