Chukotka Autonomous Area investigating bodies of the Russia’s Investigative Committee have launched a pre-investigating check in infliction of grievous bodily harm to a child by negligence due to improper discharge of professional duties.

According to preliminary information, on 21 April 2015, an operator of a snow plow started moving backwards in the snow plow and hit a street lamp knocking a lampshade off it which them hit a child on the head. The boy was immediately taken to hospital with a head injury.

At present a necessary check is underway to find out all the circumstances of the crime. A procedural decision will be made following the check.
