Gang of black realtors in Sebastopol found guilty of abduction and murder of elderly man and series of other crimes

A court has recognized the evidence gathered by Sebastopol investigating bodies of the Russia’s Investigative Committee sufficient to convict three local residents Ilya Pilyugin, Dmitry Kashin and Maxim Ryzhov. Depending on the role and degree of involvement, they were charged with a break-in, abduction, murder, stealing of passport and theft (part 2 of article 139 of the RF Penal Code, paragraphs “a”, “c”, “d”, “h” of part 2 of article 126, paragraphs “c” and “h” of part 2 of article 105, part 2 of article 325, paragraph “a” of part 3 of article 158).

The investigators revealed that Kashin, who was a realtor, had learned that an elderly man lived alone in a flat in Oktyabrskoy Revolyutsii street. He decided to get hold of his flat and developed a scheme how to abduct the man. To do that Kashin employed his acquaintances Pilyugin and Ryzhov. On 6 March 2014, the accomplices introduced themselves as law-enforcement officials and got into the elderly man’s flat. Threatening him with murder, they demanded the ownership documents. The man refused and the perpetrators took the elderly man to Fiolentovskoye highway, where Pilyugin killed him. They stole the man’s passport and some domestic appliances from the flat.

The court has sentenced Kashin to 15 years in prison, Pilyugin to 12 years. Both of them will serve their time in a maximum-security penal colony. Ryzhov got 4.5 years of probation.
