The Kursk Region Office of the Investigative Committee has opened an investigation in a crime under Part 1 of Article 109 of the RF Penal Code (negligent Homicide) following the death of a 10-year-old girl after an injection of antibiotic.

According to investigators, a few days ago the girl caught a cold and her parents started treating her. On 31 October 2016, the girl’s grandmother made her an injection of antibiotic. The girl felt worse at once: she started vomiting, got short of breath and was dead within minutes. According to the results of a forensic medical examination the girl died of anaphylactic shock.

At present, investigative operations are underway to find out all the circumstances of the incident. Forensic inquiries have been assigned. The investigators are going to look into the reasons of fatal reaction to the medicine and identified those guilty of it. The investigation is ongoing.
