The Yaroslavl Region Office of the Investigative Committee has initiated criminal proceedings against a 51-year-old local resident suspected of battery out of hooliganism under Article 116 of the RF Penal Code.

According to investigators, on the afternoon of 23 March 2017, in the town of Rybinsk, the drunk man beat a 22-year-old and a 33-year-old female paramedics in an ambulance van on the way to a hospital.

At present, investigative operations are underway to collect and document the evidence. During an interrogation the suspect admitted his guilt and repented. He has been served a subpoena.

The Investigative Committee continues responding immediately to all violations of rights of medical workers and give tough legal assessment to all such crimes.
