Alexander Bastrykin opens second rally of Investigative Committee’s cadets in Stavropol

An opening ceremony of the second rally of Investigative Committee’s cadets has been held today in the city of Stavropol. The rally is being held at Lieutenant General of Justice Mikhail Yadrov school No 24 and gathered delegations of cadets from 10 cities of Russia (Moscow, Khabarovsk, Murmansk, Khimki, Stavropol, Kemerovo, Sebastopol, Saint Petersburg, Vologda and Novosibirsk), which have Investigative Committee’s cadet classes.

The ceremony was attended by Chairman of the Investigative Committee Alexander Bastrykin, Vice-Chairman Boris Karnaukhov, member of the State Duma Olga Timofeyeva, heads and employees of Investigative Committee’s divisions, head of the Stavropol Administration Andrei Dzhatdoyev, veterans of investigative authorities and other guests of honor.

Opening the rally, the Chairman of the Investigative Committee said that “over a short period of time we not only have learnt successfully handle the tasks set before the Investigative Committee by the country’s leadership to investigate and solve major crimes, but successfully support this wonderful movement, train young employees, future investigators, law-enforcers, defenders of the Fatherland, for whom serving their country are no empty words, but the meaning of their life.”

Speaking to the cadets, Mr. Bastrykin expressed his confidence that most of them would in future, when they got higher education, “choose an interesting and noble profession of jurist and will serve as investigators making their contribution in fighting crime and consolidating law and order, in protecting and restoring rights and interests of citizens for stronger principles of good and justice.” He stressed that in their work investigators daily face grief and troubles of the whole state, society and separate citizens. This is why ones of key personal qualities of a person in this profession should be consideration, sympathy and sensitivity.

Speaking about the Concept of Developing Cadet Education at the Investigative Committee adopted during the first rally of cadets, Mr. Bastrykin said that “cadet classes of the Investigative Committee are planned to be opened in Altai Territory, Tula Region and in the city of Simferopol… another cadet class is going to be opened in Saint Petersburg on 1 September.”

Mr. Bastrykin noted special importance of teachers in teaching cadets not only special subjects, but history of Russia, literature and other basic liberal arts with the account of richest cultural traditions of our multi-national people.

Mr. Bastrykin awarded head of Stavropol Administration Andrei Dzhatdoyev with medal Fore Service and director of school No 24 Alexandra Budyak with medal For Pure Intentions and Noble Deeds for their active participation in creating and developing the Investigative Committee’s cadetship in Stavropol Territory. The cadets and many of the guests of honor were also got medals and souvenirs.

The hymn of Investigative Committee cadets was performed for the first time at the event. It was composed by Stavropol composer Viktor Kipor and the lyrics were written by poet Valenitina Naryzhina.

To conclude the ceremony Mr. Bastrykin, the guests and cadets paid tributes to Lieutenant General of Justice Mikhail Yadrov and laid flowers to his memorial.

The cadets are going to have a busy program for the next three days. The guests of Stavropol Territory are going to get more familiar with its local color uniting in one area representatives of different nationalities and religions. The cadets are going to go sightseeing in the city of Stavropol, exchange the experience they got over the year, take part in relay races, a pneumatic rifle shooting competition and test their readiness to their future profession in Svoya Igra game.

The cadets are going to attend themed educational events discussing such pressing subjects as Modern Forensic Technologies Used for Criminal Investigations, Life Navigation. Professional Self, Ecology of an Eye as a National Priority for Efficient Development of Russia, Modern IT Environment as a Basis for Keeping The Nation Safe.

The rally is planned to implement some important tasks in consolidating ties among cadet organizations and cadets of the Investigative Committee in different regions, developing civic initiative and independence of cadets, higher role of building civic consciousness and instilling patriotism, motivating cadets to master their future profession of investigator and to be ready to serve their country.

The rally which is now becoming a good tradition is going to be an important event for the cadets and to unite them in a single cadet brethren of the Investigative Committee.
