In Tula Region, probe launched against vice-chairman of tourism development committee

The Tula Region Office of the Investigative Committee has initiated criminal proceedings against vice-chairman of the Tula Region Tourism Development Committee Alexander Dushakov. He is suspected of an attempted fraud on a very large scale under part 3 of Article 30, part 4 of Article 159 of the RF penal Code. According to investigators, since 2015, Dushakov fraudulently received more than 1.8 million rubles from businessmen allegedly for meeting the needs of Shchekino District Administration. The suspect promised not to put obstacles to business. He could not follow through however as was held by agents of the Tula Region Office of the Federal Security Service upon taking 100 thousand rubles.

At present, the investigators are conducting investigative and other procedural operations to collect evidence. The suspect is expecting restraint. The investigation is ongoing.
