The State Academic Maly Theater of Russia has had today the 400^th anniversary performance of play It’s a family affair – We’ll settle it ourselves by great playwright Alexander Ostrovsky. The theater hosted the play’s first night more than 20 years ago. A lot of generations of Russian citizens grew up on that masterpiece of Russian classics and its interpretation on the stage of this legendary theater. It is pleasant to see that the comedy remains topical to these days, while performances made by the Maly Theater company are still popular and attract a wide range of public of different ages.

On this significant evening Chairman of the Investigative Committee was in attendance among guests of honor.

The investigative Committee has been in good relations and fruitful cooperation with the Maly Theater in instilling patriotism in the younger generation and moral development of young and future investigators.

Mr. Bastrykin congratulated the company and director of the Maly Theater Yuri Solomin on the performance’s anniversary, pointing out that it successfully handles even the most complicated moral and enlightening challenges and plays an exceptional role in the cultural development of Russia.
