The Krasnoyarsk Territory Office of the Investigative Committee has opened an investigation in malicious injuring of a child under Part 2, item “b” of Article 111 of the RF Criminal Code.

According to investigators, a 29-year-old man who have previous convictions for property crimes, lived with his 38-year-old girlfriend and her two children aged 7. The adults were having a party on 7 November 2017, when the man and his girlfriend quarreled and the man hit the woman. The 7-year-old boy rushed to protect his mother and the man picked him up and threw down to the floor breaking his shoulder bone.

The suspect has been detained. A forensic medical examination has been ordered. The investigators are now questioning the eyewitnesses of the crime to find out all the circumstances surrounding the incident.
