Investigative bodies of the Main Investigations Directorate of the Russia’s Investigative Committee have completed investigation of the criminal case against Director of the Department of State Policy in Agricultural Sector and Information of the Russian Ministry of Agriculture Oleg Aksyonov and employee of the information agency RusInfoServis Aleksey Trushin. They are accused of crime under part 4 of article 159 of the RF Criminal Code (swindling committed by an organized group on and especially large scale in a preliminary conspiracy with the infliction of considerable damage on an individual).

According to investigators, in the period of 2009-2010 Aksyonov, former Director of Information Department of the Russia’s Interior Ministry, having a special title of major general of militia, together with Trushin and other unknown individuals by deception and abuse of trust stole 500 thousand of USD owned by the founder of OOO Trodat M (Ltd.) and OOO Trodat XXI (Ltd.).

The field support of the investigation was executed by the officers of the Inner Security Department of FSB.

During investigation the accused fully admitted their guilt and partly compensated the damage to the victim – 345 thousand of USD. At the end of the investigation they requested a special order of the trial.

Investigators have collected enough evidence, therefore the criminal case with the approved bill of particulars is sent to the court to be tried on the merits.
