The Chelyabinsk region investigating bodies of the Russia’s Investigative Committee investigate criminal case against the chief safety engineer of the organization Third Engineering Company  Teploenergostroimontazh of the province Heilongjiang and his deputy. They are suspected of crime under part 3 of article 216 of the RF Criminal Code (violation of safety rules during building activities entailing through negligence the death of two or more persons).

According to investigators, in the afternoon of 18 June 2012 on the territory of the Troitsk state district power plant a crane fell during the 2^nd stage of building. 6 citizens of China – workers of the contract company sustained fatal injuries, another 5 Chinese workers were hospitalized.

At present, investigation operations are under way to collect and consolidate evidence. Bringing charges against officials of the construction firm and preventive punishment is being negotiated. The investigation is to be continued.
