On 24 June 2012, at about 6 a.m. a Boeing-747 of Vim-avia flying from Yekaterinburg to Hanoi made an emergency landing in Novosibirsk airport.

Investigative bodies of the West-Siberian Transport Investigation Directorate of the Russia’s Investigative Committee have organized a pre-investigation check into the fact. 

According to preliminary data the reason was failure of the left engine. Nobody of 163 passengers and crew members aboard was hurt.

At the moment, investigation operations are under way to establish all circumstances of the incident. A procedural decision will be made following the results of the check.
