August 4, 2012 unidentified persons fired administrative vehicle UAZ of the Russian Interior Ministry Department in Tsuntinsky District on the road Mokok-Kidero near the Gudatli village of the Tsuntinsky District. As a result, two police officers, Sergeant and Senior Sergeant, died. Another police sergeant was delivered to hospital with gunshot wounds. Considerable damage was caused to the vehicle. The assailants fled the scene.

On this fact the investigative authorities of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation in the Republic of Dagestan, launched a criminal case under art.317 of the RF Criminal Code (encroachment on the life of an officer of a law-enforcement agency), p.2 of the art.162 of the RF Criminal Code (intentional damage to property of other people by a dangerous method), 222 of the RF Criminal Code (illegal trafficking of arms).
