Investigating authorities of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation in the Sverdlovsk region continue to work on the criminal case under Part 2 of Art. 109 of the RF Criminal Code (causing death by negligence, as a result of improper performance by the official of his or her professional duties), on the fact of death of a 29-year-old resident of Nizhny Tagil in the central city hospital, delivered there from the women's rehabilitation center of "City without Drugs" fund.
In order to establish all the circumstances of death of the girl the investigators have scheduled a complex commission forensic examination with involvement of highly qualified experts. Investigator provided the experts with the documents seized from medical institutions. Without forensic examination of the body of the decedent, using medical documents only, the experts could not have been able to establish the circumstances of the death of the girl fully and objectively. In this regard, pursuant to court order, the investigator has conducted the exhumation of the body of the decedent.
Cordoning of the exhumation site by law enforcement officers and field engineers was determined by finding at the burial place the objects, similar in appearance with an explosive device. Subsequently it was found that these objects (such as wires, attached to a cross and wreaths) were the elements of the alarm. In addition, the cordoning was carried out in connection with the fact that the cemetery was attended by outsiders with had no direct relation to the exhumation. The process of exhumation was carried out in strict accordance with the requirements of the Criminal Procedure Code. The investigation of this criminal case is being conducted objectively and comprehensively.
A procedural decision will be mandatorily made after performing the complex of all the necessary arrangements.
