Seven suspects of committing crimes against the spiritual leaders of Tatarstan were released from custody

Investigating authorities of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation in the Republic of Tatarstan decided to cancel a preventive measure against seven suspects in the murder of the deputy mufti of Muslim Spiritual Board of Tatarstan, Valiullah Yakupov and the attempted murder of the Mufti of the Republic, Ildus Fayzov.

Considering that all the necessary investigation operations have been carried out with the suspects, a pre-trial measure in the form of detention in custody which had been imposed against them earlier was canceled and a measure of procedural compulsion was prescribed – they were relieved from recognizance to appear.

One suspect in the commission of these crimes is still in custody. In addition, as it was previously reported, other three suspects - Rais Mingaleev, Robert Valeev and Albert Ismagilov – are in the wanted list.

The investigation is continuing.
