The court recognized the evidence collected by the investigating authorities of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation in Rostov region sufficient to convict the inspector of the Department for Citizenship of the Russian Federal Migration Service in the Rostov region Nadezhda Dontsova. She was found guilty of a crime under Part 2 of the Art. 292.1 of the RF Criminal Code (improper performance of official duties due to unscrupulous and careless attitude to the service, if this resulted in the illegal issuance of a passport of a citizen of the Russian Federation to a foreign citizen and illegal acquisition of citizenship of the Russian Federation).
Investigators and the court found that in 2010 Dontsova, working in the position of inspector of the Department for Citizenship of the Russian Federal Migration Service in the Rostov region, improperly performed her duties, having considered the application of a citizen of the Republic of Belarus Kazeko for admission to citizenship of the Russian Federation, despite the false information given by the latest the applicant’s outstanding conviction, illegally issued the decision of a standard form on Kazeko’s naturalization in the Russian Federation. As a result of illegal actions of Dontsova a foreign citizen Kazeko illegally obtained passport of the Russian Federation.
The court sentenced Dontsova to one year of correctional labor at the primary place of employment with 10% being deducted from the wages for the benefit of the state.
