Participants of the riots at the Manege Square in 2010 have been convicted

The court recognized the evidence collected by the Main Investigation Department in Moscow sufficient to convict Vladimir Kirpichnikov, Vitaly Vasin, Nicholai Dvoynyakov and Grigory Bilchenko.

According to investigators, 24-year-old resident of the Samara region Vitaliy Vasin December 11, 2010, succumbed to the mood of the crowd using a traumatic TT pistol "Leader" which he had on himself fired several shots into the air, and then turned the gun on the officers of the Special Center of the Moscow Main Department of the Ministry of Interior. 21-year-old Moscow resident Nikolai Dvoynyakov has been brought to trial as well. His actions have been qualified under Part 1 of Art. 318 of the RF Criminal Code (violence against a public officer), part 2 of Art. 213 of the RF Criminal Code (hooliganism), Part 3 of Art. 212 of the RF Criminal Code (calls for mass riots). According to investigators, December 11, 2010, he urged citizens to resist the authorities and threw metal barriers at the police officers.

It should be noted that the young man was released on parole as he had partly served his term of imprisonment for committing a crime under Part 4 of Art.111 of the RF Criminal Code. According to investigators, he chanted nationalistic slogans and called for violence against the officers of the Special Center of the Moscow Main Department of the Ministry of Interior, who were protecting the young residents of Moscow. It was found that the accused attacked the police officer, who, as he thought, had no body armor on him.

The investigators have brought to trial a Moscow resident Grigory Bilchenko Gregory, who was a minor at the moment of a crime. His actions have been qualified under Part 1 of Art. 318 of the RF Criminal Code (violence against a public officer), part 2 of Art. 213 of the RF Criminal Code (hooliganism). The investigators found that succumbed to the mood of the crowd, he was actively chanting nationalistic slogans and threw the metal elements of the artificial spruce installed on the Square, in law enforcement officers.

The Court sentenced Kirpichnikov to three-year imprisonment, Dvoynyakov - to two-year imprisonment to be served in the colony. Vasin was sentenced to three-year imprisonment with five-year probation, and Bilchenko - to two-year probation with three-year test period.
