Progress of criminal investigation into embezzlement of state-owned shares of Urzhumsky distillery

The main Investigations Directorate of the Russia's Investigative Committee continues investigating a criminal case over stealing of state property in the form of embezzling 25.5% shares of OAO Urzhumsky distillery (OJSC) initiated over signs of a crime under part 4 of article 160 of the RF Criminal Code.

As part of investigating operations aimed at finding the documents connected with alienation of shares at a price deflated by more than 90 million rubles, which were earlier owned by the Kirov Region government, investigators at the moment are searching the flat of Oleg Berezin, the deputy of the Kirov Region Legislative Assembly and CEO of OOO Globus (Ltd.). It should be noted that OOO Partner (Ltd.) which is a part of a group of companies Sistema Globus bought the said package of shares.

Based on the results of the search Berezin will be questioned.

Earlier investigators arrested on suspicions of this crime CEO of OOO Partner Igor Burkov, and appraisers of Kirov Region branch of Property Registration Bureau Andrey Devyatyarov and Marianna Popova who had prepared appraising statement with underrated cost.

Former director of state property department of the Kirov Region Konstantin Arzamastsev is wanted.

Investigation is to be continued.
