In Udmurtia suspect of killing two children arrested

The investigating bodies of the Russia’s Investigative Committee for the Republic of Udmurtia have charged a man born in 1990 with crimes under paragraphs “a”, “c” and “j” of part 2 of article 105 of the RF Penal Code (murder of two minors), paragraph “b” of part 4 of article 131 (rape of a person under 14 years of age), paragraph “b” of part 4 of article 132 (sexual abuse of a person under 14 years of age).

The man admitted his guilt in full. During an interrogation he explained that he had offered the children to go to a shop and buy them some sweets. When they had realized that they were going to the woods, but not to the shop, the man had threatened to kill them. At the crime scene the man had hit the boy on the head, sexually abused the girl and killed both children.

A court has satisfied a request filed by investigators and ruled to place the accused in custody.

Investigative and other operations are underway to collect and consolidate the evidence.
