Investigation in murder of woman and three children continued in Khanty-Mansi Autonomous Area – Yugra

The investigating bodies of the Russia’s Investigative Committee for the Khanty-Mansi Autonomous Area – Yugra continue investigating a criminal case opened over murder of a 34-year-old woman and her 2-year-old child and two nephews aged 3 and 6 in gardening society Chistye Prudy (paragraphs “a” and “c” of part 2 of article 105 of the RF Penal Code).

At present all-around and full investigation of the crime is underway, a number of enquiries have been assigned, including a forensic medical one to find out the victims’ cause of death. At the same time, a traceological and DNA tests have been assigned to be run over the evidence confiscated from the crime scene.

Earlier investigators have identified a suspect. It was ordered to hold him immediately, but before the investigators found him, the man had hung himself. Law enforcement officers found his body in an unfinished house in gardening society Chernorechensky in the town of Surgut. The investigating bodies of the Russia’s Investigative Committee for the Khanty-Mansi Autonomous Area – Yugra have launched a pre-investigating check into the incident.

At present the investigators are gathering the evidence proving that the man was involved in the murder. The investigation is ongoing.
