Investigators have no reason to change restraint for Nadezhda Zavchenko

Any rumors about upcoming release of Nadezhda Savchenko are absolutely unfounded.

Savchenko is confined in a pretrial detention center on charges of a very serious crime. And I would like to remind that investigators have information that she was not a pilot, but a gunlayer, in this case an accomplice in the murder of Russian journalists Igor Kornelyuk and Anton Voloshin.

She was arrested by the ruling of a court and this is for court who to decide the degree of her guilt and just punishment. But for now the case is under investigation. There are investigative operations underway to consolidate the evidence proving involvement of Savchenko into the crime.

The only thing I can say is that the investigators have irrefutable proofs and namely Savchenko’s own records that confirm that she corrected the guns, the results of a ballistic examination of shrapnel fragments pulled from victims’ bodies, photos and video records of the scene where the journalists were killed received from satellites. The Russia’s Investigative Committee has presented all those evidence for an inquiry.

And those are only part of the evidence that will be produced before the court.

We unlike some politicians and so-called lawyers are guided by facts, not by emotions or political favors.
