In Moscow man jailed for sex crimes against children

A court has recognized the evidence gathered by Moscow Main Investigations Directorate sufficient to convict Vitaly Serov. He was found guilty of crimes under paragraph “b” of part 4 of article 132 of the RF Penal Code (sexual abuse), part 3 of article 327 (us of a forged document).

The court and investigators revealed that between 2003 and 2004 had been confined in prison, when he had been released, he changed his personal details many times and sexually abused boys during the period of time between 2005 and 2013. To get acquainted with children he got a job of a teacher of youngest units in different children’s health camps in Krasnodar Territory. In 2010, in a camp he met an 11-year-old boy, gained his parents’ trust who lived in Rostov Region and arranged with them for the boy to be taken in Moscow to get good education and live with the man in a rented flat. Taking advantage of the situation Serov sexually abused the boy for a long period of time realizing that the boy due to his small age could not understand what he was doing or resist the man. Serov sexually abused three more boys whom he also met in children camps.

At the same time, the investigators separated criminal records on other crimes committed by Serov and sent them to Krasnodar Territory for investigation.

The court sentenced Vitaly Serov to 16 years to be served in a maximum-security penal colony.
