Dead bodies of two officials with gunshot wounds to their heads were found in the afternoon of 21 February 2015, in the affiliate of Chelyabinsk Region Special Communications Office in the Central district of the city. A large sum of money in rubles and foreign currency and the victims’ guns were stolen from the guarded building.

Chelyabinsk Region investigating bodies of the Russia’s Investigative Committee launched a criminal investigation in a crime under paragraphs “a” and “h” of part 2 of article 105 of the RF Penal Code (murder of two people).

Experienced investigators from the Investigative Committee Central Office have been sent to assist in the investigation. The suspects have been detained thanks to well-planned investigative and search operations. The investigators seized from them the guns and the money stolen. Officers of Chelyabinsk Region Main Office of the Russian Ministry of the Interior carried out operations on a very high level which allowed detaining the suspects in a very short time.

The suspects were detained under article 91 of the Criminal Procedure Code. Restraint and charges are expected soon. The investigation is ongoing.
