In Moscow official of Ministry of Justice put under house arrest

The investigating bodies of Moscow Main Investigations Directorate of the Russia’s Investigative Committee have opened a criminal investigation against deputy head of a department of Main Office of the Russian Ministry of Justice for the city of Moscow suspected of a crime under part 3 of article 30, part 2 of article 159 of the RF Penal Code (fraud).

According to investigators, on 2 June 2015, the deputy head of the department of Main Office of the Russian Ministry of Justice for the city of Moscow received 250 thousand rubles for lifting a ban on entry into the Russian Federation from a foreign citizen while he did not have either authority or inclination to do that.

At present the suspect has been detained, charged and put under house arrest pending trial.
