In Saint-Petersburg Investigative Committee takes over investigation in endangering two children

Saint-Petersburg investigating bodies of the Russia’s Investigative Committee have taken over a criminal investigation launched by the Interior Ministry in a crime under article 125 of the RF Penal Code (child endangerment) against a 32-year-old local resident.

According to investigators, in the afternoon of 5 June 2015, the suspect left her two children – a 4-year-old boy and 2-year-old girl, for over 3 three hours in her car parked near a house in Verbnaya street. The children were found by passers-by, who reported to the police. At present the children are in a hospital.

Necessary investigative operations are underway to find out all the circumstances of the crime. The suspect is under restraint, charges are expected to be pressed soon. The investigation is ongoing.
