Following a check into a video published in the Internet showing violence used against a small boy the Chelyabinsk Region investigating bodies of the Russia’s Investigative Committee have launched a criminal investigation in a crime under paragraph “d” of part 2 of article 117 of the RF Penal Code (torture committed against a minor).

According to investigators, in March 2015, local residents in a flat in the town of Magnitogorsk caused physical and psychological sufferings to an 8-yer-old boy. They used force to wrap the boy into a carpet and caught it on a cell phone camera.

At present the investigators are looking into all circumstances of the crime. The investigation is ongoing.
