In Vladimir Region member of black realtors gang which committed series of serious and very serious crimes against life and property jailed

A court has recognized the evidence gathered by the Vladimir Region investigating bodies of the Russia’s Investigative Committee sufficient to convict citizen of Azerbaijan Aidyn Khudiyev, 48. He was found guilty of 5 crimes under part 4 of article 159 of the RF Penal Code (fraud) and paragraphs “g” and “j” of part 2 of article 105 (murder committed by an organized group to hide another crime).

The court and investigators have found that in 2009 Khudiyev joined a criminal gang organized by Azerbaijani national Azad Mamedov to get money from misappropriation of flats involving murders of owners or tenants.

Mamedov used his leadership qualities and hierarchy in the group to make members of the gang dependent on him. There were 14 people in the gang.

In the period between 2009 and 2013, they committed 25 serious and very serious crimes against life and property. Mamedov and members of the gang found flats inhabited by single alcohol addicted people, got hold and forged documents confirming the ID and ownership and made illegal deals with unaware clients.

The gangsters gained trust of such citizens, got in contact with them, gave them food and alcohol, and got them under their control by mixing codeine and morphine in their alcohol. Then they took passports and other documents to sell the flat.

After getting hold of the flat the leader of the gang decided on where to accommodate the owner or kill them.

In addition to general functions Mamedov executed personal orders from Mamedov, transported the gangsters and hid traces of the crimes.

In the period between autumn 2010 and January 2013, using the said means, Khudiyev, following Mamedov’s orders, defrauded 5 residents of the city of Vladimir, making the gang richer by 11 million rubles and depriving the victims of ownership of their flats.

In one of the cases the gangsters killed the owner of the flat.

In late 2012, the leader of the gang got information a single 66-year-old man, suffering from cancer, lived in the village of Yuryevets in a single-room municipal flat.

The gangsters gained his trust under guise of providing medical aid and placed the man in a local clinic. After that they launched the scam.

Having reached their goal and fearing that the scam would be uncovered, Mamedov ordered Khudiyev and other gangsters to kill the man, who was discharged from the hospital.

In March 2013, Khudiyev and his accomplices mixed in the victim’s food a drug containing codeine and morphine and after the man had fallen asleep, they smothered him with a pillow and locked the door imitating a natural death of cancer.

The real cause of the victim’s death was found by investigators after exhumation of the body.

During the investigation the accused concluded a cooperation deal, confessed to the crimes and testified against other gangsters.

The criminal case against Khudiyev was severed to form a separate proceeding and was tried by a special procedure.

The court has sentenced the defendant to 9 years to be served in a maximum-security colony.

In February 2015, another gangster who cooperated was sentenced to 8 years in prison for fraud and forgery.

In all, there were 22 victims in Vladimir, Sudogda District, Yaroslavl.

From their frauds the gangsters gained over 40 million rubles which were divided among the gangsters at leader’s discretion. To hide the traces the gang killed 5 people.

The criminal case against Mamedov and other gangsters is being tried in the court.
