Alexander Bastrykin holds meeting discussing fighting rights of people in South East of Ukraine

Chairman of the Russia’s Investigative Committee Alexander Bastrykin held a meeting on 3 September 2015 to discuss fighting violation of rights of civilians in the south east of Ukraine during an armed conflict.

Results of work of the Department for investigating crimes connected with use of forbidden means and methods of warfare of the Main Investigations Directorate were heard during the meeting. The meeting was attended by the senior officials of the said department, members of the Investigative Committee Public Council, president of Interregional NGO Prominent Generals and Naval Commanders of the Fatherland Alexander Sukharev, the general public, media and officials of the Investigative Committee.

The meeting discussed the tasks the Investigative Committee and the general public of Russia have to solve to protect human rights and interests of civilians in the southeast of Ukraine, violated during the armed conflict and to attract attention of the world’s society and international human rights organizations to the impact of the Ukrainian tragedy.
