Chairman of the IC of Russia Instructs to Investigate Circumstances of Attack on Russians During Car Rally in Greece

The Chairman of the Investigative Committee of Russia has instructed to investigate the circumstances of the attack on Russians during a rally in support of Russia and the Russian-speaking population in Athens.

According to the available information, in Athens, a group of people with Ukrainian flags attacked participants of a rally in support of Russia and the Russian-speaking population. There were Russian citizens among the attacked, including a minor, from whom the attackers tore out the Russian flag and inflicted bodily injuries. The attackers also damaged the event participants’ vehicles.

In accordance with the instructions of the Chairman of the IC of Russia, the investigators will record these facts and, in cooperation with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Russia, will continue to identify those involved in these actions in order to hold them liable.
