The Chairman of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation has instructed the Main Investigative Department of the Russian Investigative Committee to analyze the information about the murder of civilians in the city of Bucha, Kiev Oblast, disseminated by the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine.

According to the available information, in order to discredit Russian servicemen, the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine has transferred videos filmed in the city of Bucha, Kiev Oblast, to Western media outlets as proof of the mass murder of civilians. According to the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation, all materials published by the Kiev regime about the crimes of Russian servicemen in the abovementioned settlement do not correspond to reality and are provocative in nature.

A. I. Bastrykin instructed the investigators to take exhaustive measures to expose all persons involved in this and to give a procedural evaluation of their actions on the grounds of a crime under Article 207.3 of the Russian Criminal Code (public dissemination of deliberately false information about the use of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation).
